NEET PG 2021: Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation NEET PG will be conducted on September 11, 2021. NEET PG 2021 exam date was announced by Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare. The exam will be held on September 11, 2021.  A total of 1,74,886 candidates have already registered for NEET PG 2021 exam.

Candidates who are completing their internship from July 1 to Sept 30, 2021 and are fulfilling all other Neet PG Eligibility criteria can apply for the exam when the registration opens. Neet PG Admit card will be released at least 3 days before the exam date by NBE, the exam conducting body.

Earlier, NBE has postponed the NEET PG 2021 exam to boost the availability of medical personnel to fight COVID-19. NEET PG 2021 exam will contain 200 multiple choice questions based on subjects taught in the MBBS curriculum. NEET PG exam will be held at 255 exam centres in India. No official or unofficial NEET PG answer key 2021 will be released due to the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). NEET PG 2021 will be conducted for admission to around 12,690 Master of Surgery (MS), 24,306 Doctor of Medicine (MD) and 922 PG Diploma seats in 6,102 government, private, deemed/central universities.

The paper will be conducted online in the English language for a duration of 3 hrs 30 mins. Neet PG Syllabus and Question Papers will be divided into 3 parts i.e. Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and Clinical. Applicants who secure the minimum qualifying percentile i.

NEET PG 2021 Counselling

NEET PG Counselling of candidates will take place according to their rank, namely All India NEET PG Rank, All India 50 % Quota Category Rank, All India 50 % Quota Rank and State Quota Rank.

NEET PG 2021 Counselling Registration will be started in the month of April. The counselling is organized on all India basis by the MCC for all India 50% quota seats.

For state quota seats, the counselling will be conducted by the concerned State Medical Directorate/Counseling authority(s) of the State/UT.

Mode of Counselling is Online.

Documents Required at Exam

  • NEET PG 2021 admit card (with a recent passport sized photograph pasted on it)
  • A valid photo-identity proof (PAN/Aadhar/Driving License/Passport/Voter Id)
  • Photocopy of State Medical Council/Medical Council of India registration (Provisional/Permanent)
  • Original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead for Indian/OCI citizen who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India
  • Candidates carrying E-Aadhaar cards are required to ensure that the photograph is clear and matches their face at the time of exam.

Q. When will NBE conduct NEET PG 2021 exam?

A. NBE will conduct NEET PG 2021 exam on September 11 in online mode at designated centres across the country.

Q. When will NBE reopen the registration and edit window for NEET PG 2021?

A.  NBE has announced that the registration and edit window will reopen from August 16 till August 20. As per the original schedule, the online registration began on February 23, 2021. The last date to fill NEET PG 2021 application was March 15, 2021. 

Q. How much do I have to pay to apply for NEET PG 2021?

A. NBE has increased the application fee for all categories. The fee for general category candidates has been increased from Rs. 3,750 to Rs 5,015 (including GST). For SC/ST and PwD candidates’ fee has been increased from Rs 2,750 to Rs 3,835 (including GST).

Q. Will NEET PG 2021 be conducted twice a year?

A. As of this date, the exam will be conducted only once a year. If there is any change in the format or frequency of the examination, it will be updated here.

Q. How many times can we appear for NEET PG?

A. There is no cap on the number of attempts for NEET PG. 

Q. How many institutes will participate in NEET PG 2021?

A. The number of colleges/institutes participating in NEET PG 2021 is expected to be around 114. However, the scores of NEET PG are widely accepted and thus the total number of colleges accepting the scores of NEET PG 2021 could be more.
