CEED

Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2019 for MDes and PhD programs has already been scheduled. To be conducted by IIT Bombay under its supervision, this entrance examination will be held on January 20, 2019. Candidates who have filled their forms for this entrance examination will have to appear in the examination on the said date at respective allocated exam centers. 

Being considered a reputed as well as challenging entrance examination to crack, CEED 2019 will have the pattern to be conducted in two parts. Thus, candidates are mandatorily bound to answer and pass in both parts to qualify for enrollment. If you prepare with patience and enthusiasm, you can also clear NIFT, NID, among others.

CEED 2019 examination pattern:

Part A and Part B of CEED 2019 examination have been designed in a pattern to assess overall merit of candidates. Part A is an elementary test conducted through computer-based screening thus it determines particular skill set. Major assessments from this part are evaluating candidate’s spatial to visualizations abilities besides weighing the knowledge of a candidate for environmental & social awareness. This part equally assesses candidate’s analytical & logical reasoning levels. Furthermore, language abilities to creative instinct of candidates for design sensitivity observation levels are also assessed to ascertain shortlisting meritorious candidates. 

Once candidates qualify in Part A by being scrutinized in design sensitivity, one needs to qualify the Part B examination, which is the next and final level of assessment. Key focus of Part B examination is drawing, creativity, analytical & problem-solving skills to communication skill assessment etc. Candidates are shortlisted as qualified ones by doing the final CEED score calculation post examination. Weightage of marks obtained are calculated 25% from Part A while 75% in Part B respectively.
